The new road built by the MCA Grupo, which connects Ondjiva to Cuamato, in Angola, was inaugurated on 12 December 2019, , by the Minister of Construction, Manuel Tavares de Almeida, accompanied by a delegation composed of the Provincial Governor, Vigílio Tyova, Mr. Secretary of State for Construction, Manuel Abril, INEA Coordinator, Eng. Henrique Vitorino, Vice-Governor of Cunene, Director of Public Works of Cunene, Eng. Pedro Vindu, Eng. Teixeira dos Santos, Eng. Clementino Joaquim, in addition to traditional entities, MCA employees, among other personalities.
The visit was made to the entire route of the work, totaling 68.7 kilometers, stopping at Cuamato (where the end of this intervention is located) for a brief conversation by the delegation before returning to Ondjiva. The assessment was very positive, according to the words spoken by the Governor and by the Minister of Construction.
This work, now inaugurated, was carried out by the Group’s Consortium between the companies M. Couto Alves SA and M. Couto Alves -Vias SA. Also noteworthy is the participation of the technological capacity of another group company, MCA Sines, in the subcontracting of road signs and prevention.
The completion of this important road to Angola and to the province of Cunene is a source of pride for the MCA Group, which demonstrates, once again, its capabilities in adverse conditions, outside urban centers and with enormous logistical challenges, being able to do the delivery of this important commitment.
Congratulations to the entire MCA team and partners!
